FAQ
-
What is the difference between a doula and a midwife or doctor?
A doula does not provide medical care. I work alongside your medical provider to support you emotionally and physically, not to replace clinical care.
-
When should I hire a birth doula?
Many families hire a doula in the second trimester, but availability varies—earlier is often better.
-
Will you replace my partner or support person?
Nope—my role is to support both of you and enhance your connection, not replace anyone.
-
When do you start supporting clients?
I will be available from the time we book for questions, concerns, and any in-person support you may need. Once you are in labor, I will join you when we agree it would be the best time for me to! My highest priority is your safety and comfortability.
-
What areas do you serve?
I attend births in Thurston, Lewis, Mason, and Grays Harbor counties.
